Here is the story of my final painting. Surprisingly...I felt stuck for the first time during this process. I felt called to paint one more…but the inspiration didn’t come right away. I slept on it, thought about it, forgot about it…then it finally hit me. The whole story behind this series is the feeling of “home”. Almost every place I call home is on the water. The place I feel most alive, connected, and me…is when I’m on the ocean. So it only felt right to create this piece as the final chapter of the story. Home is not a place, not a house, not a person. Home is a feeling, and when you find it…you feel whole. Nothing is missing or lost or unknown. Just you, me, and the sea…how lucky are we?
